Here are three images of a PJM.

Can you spot:

1. The medal received by an Aussie in Oz.

2. A PJM received from KL.

3. The medal received by BarryF in England in July.

Spot the difference - is there significance in this?

This is true, Pete! Well 'spotted'!

But ... err ... I was looking for a physical characteristic. Somet6hing you can see in the piccies.

Interestingly, now you have rasied other differences, the Brit one is also very slightly lighter in both weight and colour (and less appealing as medals go). But that is still not the issue I was looking for ...

Go on ... Have-anuvver-Go ...

The "leaves" attached to the top of the medal cross each other the opposite way on the top picture. Question Very Happy

Not the middle one, no case because I saw the case on the pictures taken at MHC presentation.

Bottom one is the picture from NMBVA site shown as received in Oz.

Got to be the top one then. (Just noticed also that the "leaves" cross one way on full sized medal and the other way on the minature).

Am I right ????? Sad Sad

Correct!

And what you say is also correct about the leaves ... but only in the case of the Brit Award.

Is the Brit Award dodgy? Is the design different? And, as Pete suggests, designed to stick out like a sore thumb so we can be spotted at 30 twirls of a pace stick?

The medal I was presented on the 19th July is different to yours.

Mine is like the top one like the Aussie medal Leaves overlapping from right to left.

So its obvious to me there are now two different types of medals. Different batches must be moulded diferently.

I've been stuffed! I'm gonna sulk now ... I wanna a proper keepsake!

Yes.

Then your's and mine are exactly the same.

George

Then we both have been sold a duff budgey ... or at least a budgey feathered differently to our Aussie mates.

Reminds me of that parrot story.
