The Guardian and MoD Oracle Articles
On the 7th November, The Guardian published an article about the PJM that quoted MoD sources.
The article stated that during our PJM service a massacre of innocent civilians was carried out by Scots Guards. But the source got his or her facts wrong - the alleged incident happened in 1948, 10 years before PJM service began. Why was it ever raised? The only conclusion we can come to is that the allegation was a desperate attempt to discredit British Malaya-Borneo veterans and to trash our honourable Pingat Jasa Malaysia.
The article also quoted an MoD source to the effect that they ban us from wearing the PJM on Remembrance Day. Yet the MoD has no authority over Foreign Medals and they clearly have no authority over private civilians (as we are nowadays). In so doing, they get their facts wrong. Why would they go to these lengths? We can only conclude that they know we should have the right to wear the PJM and will go to any lengths in their campaign against British Malaya-Borneo veterans to stop the world knowing.
Here is the article from MoD Oracle:

and here is our reply:

We stand by our case. It represents the truth.

I saw many many PJM's being worn on the parade at the Cenotaph so obviously their 'ban' was totally non effective!

Yes, Everyone, from men in Bowlers with a rolled umberella under their arms, to us PBI and they were on the medal bars, not just pinned loosely on jackets. They were everywhere and as The Duke took the salute I am sure he could not have failed to notice.

<Mentioned this, very politely of course, to the Guardian reporter that we met and wondered about dark journalistic deeds and hidden agenda's
It never pays, of course, to upset too much, people who buy their ink by the ton.
