I didn't know but I am not surprised.
Kipling would have related to your approach to "Tommy" issues as I know you do to his. I go to that cemetery at Loss where his son is (allegedly) buried. And I look across No Mans Land to the Hohenzollern Redoubt and Fosse 8. And I think of the generation that was wiped out in WW1.
It truly was "The Death of Innocence".
Tommy learned.
And those who survived passed on the word.
And in that knowledge, so tragically gained, we shall fight these barstools who are once again taking "Tommy" for granted.
