In the papers recently it was reported that somewhere in England (it had to be!!) a 15 years old boy, who wears female dresses and carries a handbag, was crowned Queen of the village Gala.
Now does this not prove beyond any doubt that British Citizens, if not breaching any statutory Act, or Acts, can wear what they want when they want and medals are no exception.
The Honours and Decorations Committee have really messed up with the PJM and the only way out for the FCO is to rescind the non-wearing rule and find an intelligent person (some will say 'impossible') to sort out their archaic guidelines on the wearing and accepting of foreign awards.
