Brown pre-empts Queen's Speech

In an effort to show he is moving power to the people, Gordon Brown will pre-empt the Queen's speech today when he sets out details of his first legislative programme as Prime Minister.

Emerging paragon?
None of us voted for him, Pete, and having read a copy of todays Hansard he don't seem very much up to speed with anything, certainly not us veterans wot he thinks have a vets medal, and certainly has no idea of wot Don Touhig was on about when he brought up the question of our gong. He is, though, a master of woffle, a language we must all learn to understand.....and see through.
