Post Anne Moffat MP - A Stalwart Supporter!
One of our staunch supports in Scotland, Walter Stewart, has sent his permission for this message to be published.

It is very encouraging at this critical time.

Dear Walter

Pangat Jasa Medal

Many thanks for recent correspondence.

I have continued to support this campaign, liaising with colleagues at Westminster and other campaigners like Brigadier Alstead.

This matter has been discussed within the Labour Group of MPs at Westminster and an EDM has been tabled by Don Touhig which I have supported. I will discuss with Don the possibility of another adjournment debate (*). I will again convey my feelings directly to the Department and Derek Twigg, Minister responsible for Veterans.

I trust this finds you in good health.

Yours sincerely
Anne Moffat MP

Brilliant lobbying, Walter.

* An adjournment debate is a short half hour debate that is introduced by a backbencher at the end of each day's business in the House of Commons. Adjournment debates are also held in the side chamber of Westminster Hall. This technical procedure of debating a motion that the House should adjourn gives backbench members the opportunity to discuss issues of concern to them, and to have a minister respond to the points they raise.
