Here is a letter I received on the 2nd February, two days after the Ministerial Statement telling us only the British could not wear the PJM.
http://www.fight4thepjm.org/the_pjm_cabinet_office_letter_1.htm
In it, they are telling us that the PJM is not very respectable (and, by implication, neither are those eligible for the medal) - apparently it compromises previous awards (which?) and the integrity of the honours system (you remember, the one that can be bought into)!
That’s the system that honours the privileged more and more and reduces awards to ordinary people and, because more and more medals are going to the elite, we are being told we can't have one because one more medal is a medal too far!
That is why you can't wear our PJM ... they’ve used up their explainable allowance of medals this month ... many of those medals being awarded to private individuals that are not publicised!!
We propose exploring this statement.
Any more thoughts, please post them here.
Thanks,
Barry.
