On the 16th January 2007, BBC Radio Solent broadcast a programme about the case for the Fight for the PJM.
They asked listeners their views - 100% supported our case. The programme could be listened to via the Internet and so responses hurtled in not just from the UK but from around the world ... Australia, Canada, and Vietnam were three countries mentioned. The response was so staggering that the BBC decided to continue the issue the next day ... and subsequently even more interest arose and so the BBC broadcast another programme a week later on the 24th January.
The BBC have carried out their own research and, at the end of that programme with 100% support from their listeners and knowledge of the massive support from MPs, the BBC announced that one of their reporters would take a Petition with Listeners' Concerns to Margaret Beckett at the Foreign Office and to Denis Brennan at the Cabinet Office!
Even we at Fight4thePJM were stunned by the response. It is all very humbling.
Thanks to a PJMer down under in Australia who recorded the programmes off-air from the Internet, you can listen in to some clips from the Julian Clegg shows. Please note, these clips were recorded from the Internet in Australia. Nevertheless, we wish to attribute all copyright to BBC Radio Solent and these clips must not be copied or used commercially without their consent.
