The Queen has an "intelligence network" at Buckingham Palace that is second to none, according to the Duke of York.
The monarch mysteriously knows and sees everything, Prince Andrew told Time magazine.
He said he and his siblings had to remind royal staff that the Queen, who turns 80 on April 21, was their mother as well as the monarch and should not do too much, despite being "incredibly fit".
"There's no need to do six engagements in a day," he said. "You can achieve the same amount of connection and consistency at a different pace."
Prince Andrew, 46, told the magazine: "The Queen's intelligence network is a hell of a lot better than anyone's in this palace. Bar none.
"She knows everything. Everything. I don't know how she does it."
