(at http://www.fight4thepjm.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=434&highlight=public#434)How about opening a Page for the General Public to post what they think about this matter? Make sure the GP can find the page!
This is a very good point and we have tried to address it within our requirements for security of the web site.
We ask correspondents to register to post a message in order to eliminate as far as possible posts from those who have mischievous designs! We do not have a page for the General Public for that reason. We think that registration is a small price to pay for the security of this priceless web site. We maintain complete openness by providing access to all our pages on this web site and on the Forum so that anyone and everyone can read what is being said.
To address Iceni's suggestion, however, we have developed a simple "Your Turn Now" facility with the objective of providing a convenient method for visitors to send us messages. It is at the foot of every page of the main web site. There anyone, the General Public or Registered Members, can have their say in respect of the page they are reading and we shall quote any comments that are of interest to us all.
The “Your Turn Now” facility requires an email address (the system picks up registered members' particulars if they are logged in to the Forum - so no need to enter info twice). The validity of that address is checked by us, but we do not contact the writer because this is supposed to be a convenient ‘stickit’ type facility.
PS We have also updated out Contact page - it has the convenient ‘memo/stickit’ facility as well.
As always, comments and suggestions on this new PJM innovation are very welcome.
