Ney York Reporting
They got the right reporter to do this sex change story F U DICKER.
I promise you I have not made this up.
Why This Priest Wants To Be A Woman
By FREDRICK U. DICKER
ROTTERDAM JUNCTION, N.Y.
WHEN Father Dennis Brennan, the longtime pastor of St. Margaret of Cortona Roman Catholic Church, goes on his weekly trip to the grocery store, he looks, well, unusual. The 5-foot 8-inch, balding, Irish-born priest wears a dark, full-length dress, an ill-fitting ladies’ white wig, and a silver necklace. He also sports a lady’s shoulder bag.

There is also a very apt anagram in there too!

Well I'll go to the foot of our stairs. who would have thought that a priest would get involved in that sort of thing.... er... on the other hand, they go into the profession in the hope that they will get to wear a long black dress... hmm...
Yours still wear the trousers

De-frocked for wearing a dress?
Mike,
Gurha problem is now only financial - I beg to differ;
see Gurkha VC posts in Defence Crisis topic.
Best wishes,
Dave

The anagram might fit the new London Olympics Logo, if you can imagine, (without "London and
the Olympic Circles") that this is a depiction of a "Knee-trembler" by Dali or Piccaso!
Its a trade mark, so I can't print it here - shame!

Truth in print...
Quote:MB wrote; Newspaper reports very confusing about Gurkhas' welfare, etc.
It should come as absolutely NO surprise to any PJM'er that aberrant arguments, factual misrepresentations and purposefully misleading reports would be widely disseminated in the media...we have had enormous experience of the deceitful, dishonourable, convoluted, and fraudulently devious nature of 'official but unnamed spokespersons' and their (mis)interpretations of 'the rules', fed to the media in so-called 'explanation'.

Truth in Print
Stan, me old ,
I think the reference was to the b******t that MOD et al continuously feed to the press which they then publish as an "Official Response" and not as their own summary or opinion, e.g. MOD, FCO Cabinet Office repeating the same old "5 year rule/double medalling, it is not policed", etc. I am sure that the useful "alerts" and welcome support we have had from the media (eg Radio Soton, and Daily Mail, Telegraph and Scots Herald on line, etc) are appreciated by all. It seemed to me to forsee the future when the suits "use their discretion (or don't) " by not allowing other deserving Gurkha cases into the UK. We have been forewarned by Immigration Minister Liam Byrne that other cases not eligible "under the immigration rules" will be a matter for discretionary decisions on a case to case basis; more obfuscation, magically appearing rules, etc, to look forward to!
"In July2006, British authorities(?) granted full Bitish citizenship.....etc; this was subject, of course to territorial qualifications. 1997 is also a significant date - the handover of Hong Kong - some Gurkhas suffered because of this hand over until July, 2006. It is not as straight forward as at first might have been thought!

Mike, with regard to Naval Intelligence... we never mention those two words in succession... jolly bad form old boy, just ask DNSY.
With regard to Pete, he has been recalled into The 1st Battalion, The Royal Tristan Da Cunha Rifles; so will be either incognito, or in the bar.
Yours totally uninformed
Arthur
