Re: The BBC audio clip.

Not only for my own pride but also for those people that support us. I feel that they deserve thanking for that support and the only way I can do that – I feel – is to wear the medal.
More good news! Massive support continues to arrive at Radio Solent! Read all about how the BBC will announce some interesting news soon!
So, I second pingbosun's call to thank those supporters from around the world.

You realise that a total boycott of Veterans Day, and if deemed necessary, Rememberence Day, would have dire consequences for certain Government Departments.
A classic case of: What if they had a war, and nobody came.
After all, it is 'our prorogative' to attend or not attend. The shockwave around the world will more than miff Her Majesty, who may have to seriously reconsider her position and that of the Civil Serpents. But then, would all of our members and the Royal British Legion support that action?
Yours Aye

Boycott of Veterans and Remebrance Day
I believe that such an action would be at least counter-productive, and at worse, disastrous for our cause.
I don't believe that such an action would gain much support, if any, from RBL or any Service Organisations i.e.
Regt/Corps, Ships or RAF Squadrons, whose reason for commemoration and rememberance would not include
a protest with little relevance to their own events. Whilst important, our campaign is somewhat on the margin of Veterans
concerns and we, ourselves could rightly stand as "discourteous to HM", let alone outrageous, to the satisfaction of those whom,we believe, stand as the the obstacles to us achieveing our ends!
Regards,
David

I completely agree David. I shall be attending any Veterans Day ceremony or event in my area - maybe I can drum up some support for our cause ! Tony
