 Off-Topic - but a Tropical Anniversary
Thank you to all those who have sent messages from Malaysia to wish Jane and I a Happy 40th Wedding Anniversary.
We were married in Terendak Garrison on Saturday, the 14th January 1967. The festivities finished on the following Monday morning at 07:55hrs.
Today we are remember those who are not with us any more - it is our tradition that our first toast is always to 'Absent Friends'. Close friends who were at that wedding but who have died - including my best friend who couldn't be my Best Man cos he was called away suddenly to go to Vietnam, and another close friend who volunteered at very short notice to do the 'honours'. Also, Tan Seng Bee ... a brilliant tracker and interpreter and, above all, a loyal friend with whom I spent many weeks in the 'Ulu in the middle of nowhere.
I'll be 'back in business' tomorrow with the Fight4thePJM Campaign and Web Site.

Congrats from Mike and Kathy Barton
1967 was a good year to get wed. We. did it a little later....21st Dec....the longest night of the year, but you were not far out in Jan. Kathy was a child bride and still is. May the sense of humour and the light of love be with you always.........MB.

Well Barry and Jane, the big 40. I bet it only seemed like yesterday.
You have both travelled a long path, with it's highs and lows, which made the journey interesting. One thing I would point out though. Isn't it about time you changed your socks. Roll on the big 50.
