In the coming weeks and months many of you will receive your PJM Medal, this really is a beautifully struck medal together with its ribbon, plus a separate pin ribbon, plus a miniature PJM all in a presentation box, with an inscription on a highly polished plate on the inside of the lid and the words PINGAT JASA MALAYSIA on the outside cover.

Wear them with pride lads and lassies especially with Remembrance Services coming up in the next few weeks, if you are on parade, swing those arms and hold your heads up high in memory of those that cannot.

Lest we forget..................

Having noticed the photos of the recent presentation in Nottingham, What might be the chances of a presentation North of the Border, for all the Scots and others domiciled in Gods Country.

I'm so glad to note Cameron, that by mentioning 'God's Country', you obviously have elected to include the Canadians!

I always thought GOD was an Englishman, thats why he built the channel to keep the French out. Pity he couldn't put the suits the other side of it, but then the suits always did think they are above GOD.

Good point Cameron.

The Scots have been in the forefront of this campaign with the rest of us and we need to ensure that medals get through customs and are presented or are posted asap.

I understand that the Malaysian High Commission is planning a presentation in Scotland. I have no other information as yet but, if I hear anything, I'll post it on this Forum.

Paul...this may assist you in your research?

The British Isles are composed of four races of man

. . . the Scottish, who keep the sabbath--and everything else they can get their hands on.

. . . the Welsh, who pray on their knees--and on their neighbours.

. . . the Irish, who don't know what they want, but are willing to die for it anyway.

. . . and the English, who consider themselves a race of self-made men, thereby relieving the almighty of a terrible burden.

Yes, And RF Delderfield wrote a book with that as a title, well close to it - "God is an Englishman."

I telephoned MHC yesterday, 6th Nov 06, to establish how they intend to distribute the PJM's and to confirm if they would be contacting us by phone.
Having said it was not their intention to phone I was then asked my full name and to confirm my address. The guy I spoke to asked me to hang up and he would call me back later. When he did, after about 15 minutes, he informed me that my PJM would be posted to me the following day. I am therefore looking forward to getting it tomorrow and wearing it on Sundays Remembrance Parade.
