Post OFF TOPIC, or is it?
Twenty years ago, a 28 years old British girl went on a wildlife photography trip to Africa and was brutally butchered in Kenya’s Masai Mara game reserve.

Three men have been tried and acquitted of her murder in two separate trials but it is reported that the real culprits have still to be caught. During the past twenty years the father of the victim, John Ward, has sought closure on his daughter’s murder but he is no closer to a solution.

Recently a secret police report, released under a Freedom of Information Act request, confirmed what the father had been saying for years. In a damning verdict, which our government tried to keep hidden on grounds of national security, it slams the conduct of the Foreign Office and the British High Commission in Nairobi saying – ‘there is clear evidence of inconsistency, contradictions, falsehoods and downright lies’, and it is not surprising that the father believed there was an active conspiracy to prevent him identifying his daughter’s killers. He believes the British government stood in his way in order to pander to the regime of the then Kenyan President. The newly released report written by the Lincolnshire police after a four year investigation, gives his claim a ring of truth.

One possible explanation is that the bad publicity of this gruesome murder would affect the tourist industry but why would the British government undermine the search for truth with ‘falsehoods and downright lies’ as the Lincolnshire report puts it.

Inconsistency, contradictions, falsehoods, and downright lies are the words used in the above report which was published in a national newspaper recently.

My heart reaches out to the father of this young girl who was so brutally murdered and senselessly taken away from her family and loved ones but he also has my admiration for his determination to obtain closure.

Whilst this dreadful crime can in no way relate to our campaign for the right to wear the PJM I did detect a similarity in our dealings with the civil service of this country and in particular the Foreign Office which over the past twenty years has continued, and still continues, to involve falsehood, downright lies, and contradictions, in its dealings with the British public. The civil service pretend and have publicly declared that they are crown and public servants who are required to maintain high standards of fairness, impartiality and integrity. This is completely the opposite found by those citizens who have had any dealings with them.

Why are the British people and their government accepting such dishonest and bullying tactics from a group who are paid from the public purse. For them to adopt such shameless tactics in the case of the PJM is disgraceful but for them to do so and interfere with a father’s right to find out who brutally murdered his daughter in a far off land is sheer criminality and whoever is responsible in the Foreign Office and the Diplomatic Service should be identified and be dealt with by our courts.

We all know, however, that this will never happen in 21st. century Britain as those who hold high government office believe they are immune from our justice with certain incidents of late confirming such an opinion. I pray for the day when someone will clear out that nest of vipers known as the civil service mandarins and bring back respect and pride in our nation.

I fear Andy that it will take more than politics or Politicians to sort out the mess that this country is in and I maintain that the best man ever to get into Parliament was one Guido Fawkes.
