[quote="ro5=6372"]ACTUALLY STAN,PRIORITY TREATMENT FOR SERVICE 'WAR PENSIONERS',TO INJURIES SUSTAINED IN SERVICE HAS ALWAYS BEEN THERE,WHAT HASN'T IS THE GENERAL AWARENESS OF EX SERVICE INJURED,TO THIS 'RIGHT',COMPOUNDED BY THE SAME LACK OF KNOWLEDGE FROM YOUR G.P. RECEPTIONIST UP. UNFORTUNATELY,BEING MISTER NICE GUY,DOESN'T HELP EITHER. THE FAST TRACK SYSTEM WILL ONLY MEAN,THAT YOU BYPASS THE FIRST QUEUE,TO GET ON THE LIST TO JOIN THE NEXT QUEUE.

ro5=6372, I hope that you won't mind me quoting only parts of your posting, but from my own experience I think that you're right.

I think that the system is set up to impress outsiders but to confuse or obstuct those who dare to enter the fast track maze, with it's corners, bends, junctions and dead ends.

When I asked if I qualified for fast tracking to see a specialist because of my service, (I must add at this point that I do have hearing problems for which I wear two hearing aids (Vulcan aircraft are very noisy) but of course they didn't affect me?) I was told "Fork Queue" or something like that.

However, even after being added to the fork queue I still had to wait a while for my appointment.

Post DISSAFECTED VETERANS
Latest from MoD Medical advisors, is, they have now found a cure for our particular malady: 34mls of Disaffectant, to be taken through the rectum, by prodigeous use of ultra large hypodermic syringe.

Ouch that hurts!

Yours hopping mad

Arthur
