I cannot speak for the Army and I know that the Navy might have problems checking as I believe it gave ratings their full service history on discharge. However, the RAF should certainly be able to compile a list from its computer records.

I think it again boils down to the point that the Civil Serpents within the MOD have made up their minds NOT to become involved, for whatever reason, in the issuing of the PJM.

Hello Tony, I am also intrigued by the duplicity of the MoD and the barnacles that attach themselves to it.

I suppose a test case, would be to put the details of anyone, especially if they NEVER SERVED, in the Far East, through the system and see if the MoD rubber stamps the application or rejects it through lack of verification.

Then and only then, will we know for sure.

It would certainly catch them out if they were just "pushing them through".
The problem is, it could cause embarrassment for MHC if the application was
so verified, passed to MHC and a PJM awarded! Mind you, I'm not sure that causing
the Agon and Malaysian People further embarrassment would give concern to MoD,
FCO or HD Cttee.
